• Normal count + ↑ BT: Platelet functional defect
• Small platelets: Wiskott – Aldrich syndrome
• ITP: Antibody against platelets, ↑ bleeding time
• Platelet transfusion not indicated in immunologic thrombocytopenia
• Thrombocytopenia not seen in Henoch – Schönlein purpura
