INI-CET 2026 (MD/MS/MDS) – Complete Details

 Exam Overview

INI-CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test) ek national-level entrance exam hai jo AIIMS conduct karta hai. Iske through MD, MS, MDS, DM (6 yrs) aur MCh (6 yrs) jaise postgraduate medical courses ke liye admissions milte hain.

Is exam ke through admission milta hai:

  • All AIIMS (New Delhi + other campuses)

  • JIPMER

  • NIMHANS

  • PGIMER Chandigarh

  • SCTIMST Trivandrum
    (Collectively called INIs – Institutes of National Importance)

Exam computer-based test (CBT) hota hai, ek hi shift mein.


INI-CET 2026 January Session – Important Dates

January 2026 session ke liye registration September 2025 ke end se start hua.
Application form bharne ki last date October 2025 ke third week ke aas-paas thi.
Admit card November ke starting mein issue hua.
Exam 9 November 2025 ko conduct hua.
Result November ke mid mein declare kiya gaya.


 INI-CET 2026 July Session – Expected Dates

July 2026 session e liye registration March 2026 ke second week me open hoga.
Application submission April ke third week tak chalega.
Admit card May 2026 ke second week me aayega.
Exam date 17 May 2026 fix ki gayi hai (AIIMS Exam Calendar ke mutabik).
RResult May ke last week me release hoga.


Eligibility Criteria

📌 For MD / MS

  • MBBS degree from a recognized medical college.

  • 1-year compulsory internship January session ke liye 31 January 2026 tak complete hona zaruri tha.

  • July session ke liye internship 30 June 2026 tak complete hona chahiye.

  • Candidate ka name state medical council / NMC registration me hona chahiye.

📌 For MDS

  • BDS degree (DCI recognized).

  • InInternship completion date upar wale pattern ke jaisa hi hota hai (session dependent).


Exam Pattern

  • Mode: Computer Based Test

  • Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)

  • Types of Questions: MCQs

  • Total Questions: 200

  • Marking:

    • Correct Answer: +1

    • Incorrect Answer: –⅓

    • Unattempted: 000

Difficulty Level & Competition

INI-CET is considered one of the toughest PG entrance exams in India, NEET-PG equivalent level par.
AIIMS New Delhi seats ke liye rank <100 ki zaroorat hoti hai.
Total PG seats limited hoti hain, isliye high competition expected hai.
